Consider: As Christians, we often prioritize Jesus as the “friend of sinners” while minimizing His identity as the King of Kings. Fortunately, He is both. He is personal and loving toward us as we stumble through life, surviving only by his grace. Simultaneously, He is the name above all names and the King of kings. Paul argues that by the power of his blood shed on the cross that Jesus will reconcile all things in heaven and on earth (Colossians 1:20). The cross not only created an avenue for me to experience everlasting life, it also becomes the mechanism for redeeming all that was broken in the world by sin. He is truly the King of the cosmos!
