Consider: The resurrection holds power for the believer both in the afterlife and in the present life. It’s easy to tout the future benefits of the resurrection life and ignore the present transformation. The hope of the resurrection means every day is a new day with new opportunities to embrace the goodness and grace of God. We cannot be bound by the past, but Christ has made us new as we enjoy the transformational power of the Resurrection through the Holy Spirit.
